Roles

Character Modeling & Texturing

For Donuts!, I was given a base model to work off of, created by our art director, Tian Yang. I was given character turnarounds for modeling and color references. I modeled the main character's best friend, Sothea, as well as other NPCs including Brodie, Willie, Lulu, and Kim with whom the player interacts with throughout the game. Majority of the models were made in Maya with some adjustments made in Zbrush. Meshes were textured in Substance Painter. Textures focused on bright and bold color choices with minimal gradients and shadows drawn. I would pass of my models and textures to the team, and they would implement them into Unity.

I also modeled an NPC kit for the civilians not part of the main story in game. I made four different body shapes along with four different head shapes that could be interchanged to create variety amongst the crowd. I was given concept art for these as well as worked off of an NPC sheet of varying different people to model and texture for the background of the game.

In addition, I drew various graffiti designs as well as posters to add around the Los Angeles inspired environment.
